<B>Leading Comics #1 Rockford pedigree (DC, 1941) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Cream to off-white pages.</B></I> This series, featuring the Seven Soldiers of Victory, has attracted renewed interest lately thanks to the recent comic book series <B>Seven Soldiers</B></I>. If you're new to <B>Leading Comics</B></I>, you may well be wondering why the <I>Seven</B></I> Soldiers of Victory are depicted as a group of <I>six</B></I> on the cover, and the blurb bills them as ""<I>five</B></I> favorite features."" Well, not to add to the confusion, but there's actually <I>eight</B></I> group members -- five main heroes and their three sidekicks, with Stripesy not appearing on the cover and Wing (the Crimson Avenger's sidekick) neither on the cover nor counted in the total. At any rate, only one copy of this hero-laden issue has been graded higher than this pedigree specimen. Overstreet 2006 VF/NM 9.0 value = $5,485; NM- 9.2 value = $7,700.
