LeFever Nitro Special marked “LeFever Arms Branch Ithaca Gun Co Inc. Ithaca New York”. 410ga 26” barrels, double trigger, standard extractors, finely engraved, gold inlaid, with custom striped maple stock. Finely and fancy checkered with Monte Carlo cheekpiece and royal blue finish with dark stain to stock. Serial #352739, marked 3” chamber, choked Modified (right) and Extra Full (left). The gun is nicely engraved in close-cut floral scenes with gold-inlaid birds at center of left and right, and gold inlaid bird on trigger guard, silver bird on front of frame. The engraving is very American in style and research by our deceased consignor attributes it Bill McGraw, who worked for Ithaca, but no documentation. The gun shows a high quality royal blue refinish. The stocking is very finely done and the stock shows quality carving and fitting, and shows a milled-steel buttplate with fancy fleur de lis designs in carving, and shields on each side of the action. The stock measures 15-1/4” from trigger to the end of the wood and is stocked for a tall man. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
