<B>Lawrence of Arabia (Columbia, 1962).</B></I> Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14"). Director David Lean was a master storyteller, especially adept with the great historical epics, as seen in his two masterpieces, "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Bridge on the River Kwai." Screenwriter Robert Bolt used T. E. Lawrence's own self-published memoir "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom" as his principal source to help Lean bring to life the drama that reshaped the political history of Saudi Arabia. The fantastic cast included Peter O'Toole, Alec Guinness, Anthony Quinn, Omar Sharif, José Ferrer, and Claude Rains, among others. The title card for this set shows the most wear with foxing in the borders, and the title card and three scene cards have pinholes in the corners. All eight cards have minimal edge and corner wear and a bit of smudging in the margins, but the images are very clean on this very desirable set.
