Laurel and Hardy Scottish Stage Wear
Laurel and Hardy Scottish Stage Wear. In 1947, when Laurel and Hardy were in Glasgow on a stage tour of British theaters, Laurel decided that he and Hardy would appear on stage -- in kilts! This lot consists of the kilt that Oliver Hardy wore onstage at the Glasgow and Edinburgh Empire Theatres in 1947; the two sporrans which Laurel and Hardy wore on their kilts (the one Hardy wore on stage was the one that Laurel had worn in their 1935 film Bonnie Scotland); a pair of Hardy's tartan stockings (but not as seen in the 1947 Glasgow photograph); a pair of Laurel's tartan stockings; and a pair of patent leather buckle shoes, believed to have been worn by Laurel. The costumes are still very striking and in Very Fine condition.

Shipping: Clothing, Costumes & Jerseys (view shipping information)
