Late model Merwin & Hulbert Frontier revolver, .44-40 caliber, 5-1/2” barrel with extra 3-1/4” barrel. Nickel plated, hard-rubber grips, in Hartley & Graham satin-lined Moroccan leather covered displaycase. Serial #23003. The pistol remains in original fine to excellent condition showing 97-99% original nickel, some minor scratches, index line between cylinder, and just beginning normal age. The triggerguard,hammer, and trigger show 80-90% original case hardening just toning slightly. The pistol is mounted with an original Merwin & Hulbert patent folding hammer. The hard-rubber grips are fine to near excellent. The action istight, the markings crisp, the interior shows just slight use with fine bore. The cylinder and barrel show matching numbers and the extra barrel serial number also matches. The original to the period case shows red satinlining which is just fraying slightly with some staining and normal aging and shows leatherette label glued in the lid for Hartley & Graham. Also, ribbon hinges and center ribbon normally found on this type
