Late World War II Nazi dou Code BRNO Factory K98 Rifle

This is a nice original example of a mid 1944 production K98 rifle as manufactured by the BRNO factory in Czechoslovakia. These were the standard bolt action rifle used by all German forces throughout WWII. The receiver is stamped "WaA80/dou/44" with the side wall marked "K98". It has the transitional parts that consist of the unnumbered stamped trigger guard and floor plate with the unmarked milled barrel bands. This example falls into the double letter suffix serial number "9464aa" and has a correct all matching bolt assembly. It is fitted with a laminated handguard and stock that is fitted with a cupped sheet metal buttplate. The stock is numbered "8663" on the underside. It is complete with a front sight cover, rubber muzzle cover, cleaning rod and canvas sling.

Very fine with 90% of the original blue finish overall with the exposed barrel and barrel bands having browned out. The stock and handguard are both fine with nice original color showing minor handling marks and scratches with a few light gouges on the right side of the butt. As noted this rifle has an all matching bolt assembly with correct unnumbered components.
