This is a very fine example of a late WWII Nazi K43 semi-automatic rifle as manufactured by the Walther factory that has been fitted with a WWII ZF4 sniper scope and mount. It has the late war rough cast type receiver that is marked on the left side: "Eagle/359/K43" and "ac/45" next to the serial number 1870b. It also has the late rough cast bolt cover without the reinforcing web on the front end and the hollow cocking knob on the left side with no hold open latch. It has the late stamped action cover with blued sliding dust cover. The stock and handguard are the correct late war laminated versions with stamped trigger guard, absent of any markings. The stock has a single very faint "Eagle/359" Waffenamt proof on the left side of the butt with a single small proof in the pistol grip area. It is fitted with a WWII, non-matching scope mount with the round ends, that has a single "Eagle/359" Waffenamt proof with the serial number "8782" milled into the front end of the mount with the "fest" and "lose" marked locking lever. It is fitted with a mid-war all blued scope that is marked on the left side: "Gw ZF4/29406/ddx/blue triangle". This rifle is complete with a blued cleaning rod, a unmarked brown leather sling, a set of black unmarked leather scope covers with an original WWII "aye/K43" marked box magazine.
