Late World War II Black Party Leader Gripped Walther PPK Semi Automatic Pistol with Gold Embossed Partly Leader Style Leather Holster

The Party Leader gripped PPK was the honor weapon of the NSDAP and was given to political leaders who had performed some meritorious service for the party from the Fuhrer. The official name of the PPK with Party Leader grips was "Honor Weapon of Political Leaders". The Party Leader grips are a molded plastic with the NSDAP eagle holding a swastika circled by a wreath. These grips were usually brown, however near the end of WWII a small number, such as this pistol, were black. This pistol also features the rare full bottom "box" magazine, which is also black plastic. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner, followed by the two line inscription and "Mod PPK". The right side of the slide and barrel at the muzzle and ejector port are marked with the Eagle/N acceptance marks with the serial number vertically on the right side of the frame. The pistol is complete with an original WWII Party Leader marked brown leather holster. This holster is stamped "D.R.G.M./crossed rifles" with a gold embossed Nazi Party Leader emblem on the upper front holster flap. An extremely rare find that would truly enhance any German military or military collection.

Very fine with 85% blue finish overall. The balance a dark brown patina finish with wear on the edges and high spots. The grips are fine with nice distinct checkering and Nazi Party Leader emblem on both sides and with some minor casting flaws on the upper left side. These late black grips are typical of late war production as they do not fit correctly around the upper edges. The black magazine base is fine with nice color overall with no visible cracks or damage. The holster is fine with nice brown color showing scuffing and wear marks on the top of the flap, lower edge of the magazine pouch and toe. The markings on the front are clear and distinct and the gold embossed Party Leader Emblem is mostly intact showing just a hint of flaking on the front.
