Late WWII Mauser byf 45 Code K98 Bolt Action Rifle with Sling
This is an example of a very late World War II K98 rifle that was manufactured at the Mauser factory. The top of the receiver is marked "Mod. 98" over "byf 45". There is a "eagle / 135" proof on the top and right side of the receiver and Nazi firing proof and serial number on the left side. The breech end of the barrel is marked with a Nazi firing proof and "44L19" followed by an "eagle/135" proof along the to. The bolt assembly is matched to the gun. All phosphate finish with a blue bolt release. Hooded raised ramp front sight and adjustable rear tangent sight graduated to 2,000 meters, correct late war stamped parts with barrel bands correctly screwed to the stock and mounted with a one piece, roughly cut pistol grip stock without the firing pin hole in the cupped buttplate and cross hatched leather sling. There is a "eagle / WaA135" proof on the right rear of the buttstock.
