Manufactured in 1920. The upper left barrel flat ahead of the rear sight is marked with the two line Winchester address, "25-20 SS" at the breech and the serial number is marked on the lower tang. Number 1 octagon barrel with a blade front sight with brass bead and semi-buckhorn rear sight, blue barrel with casehardened remaining parts, and mounted with a smooth forearm with ebony forend insert and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.

Condition: Very good. The barrel retains 70% original blue finish with areas thinning to a plum patina, edge wear and overall some scattered minor pitting. There are a few dings on the left rear of the barrel. The receiver has a smooth silver gray patina and the lever has a smooth mottled gray patina. The wood is very good as re-oiled. There are a number of small dings on the left side of the forearm in the area of the dings on the barrel, otherwise only a few minor dings and handling marks overall. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is very good.
