Late Edo period (Last emperor period) suit of Japanese armor. Hardened leather that is painted and joined by cloth stitching with metal chin piece. Good to very good overall condition with normal aging, minor loss ofpaint, and small imperfections. Very decorative and a true antique from the period that saw the end of the samurai. Approximately 65” in height on well-made modern base showing crest. Est.: $1750-$3500
