Late 19th century French ormolu jewellery casket, of serpentine outline, the domed cover engraved and cast with flowers and scrolls, surmounted by the figure of a winged angel holding a vacant shield for a picture, suspended with floral swags, a similarly engraved body set with four oval porcelain plaques depicting winged cherubs holding flower garlands, the corners set with leaf scrolls and rams head masks, on four scrolled feet, enclosing a red velvet lined interior, 29cm wide x 20.2cm high
