Late 1920's Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Signed Baseball. "They didn't get along," Tony Lazzeri once said of his fellow Hall of Fame Yankee teammates. "Lou thought Ruth was a big-mouth, and Ruth thought Gehrig was cheap. They were both right." Though despite the low-grade feud that followed the duo throughout much of their eleven seasons in pinstripes together, no two ballplayers remain linked quite so firmly in baseball's history book. This "Official Partridge League" sphere plays its small role in maintaining this troubled yet extraordinarily successful partnership, offering a sweet spot signature from the Babe and a side panel Gehrig specimen. Each is rendered in black fountain pen ink on the lightly and evenly toned horsehide surface, with Ruth rating an attractive 6/10, and Gehrig perhaps a shade lighter at 5/10. A clean and solid specimen from the most consistent investment performers in the sports collecting hobby. LOA from PSA/DNA.
