Featured in this lot we have a pair of western book by Jack Crawford and Lucy Crawford originating from the late 1800's and ealry 1900's. The first of the books is "The Broncho Book" by Captain Jack Crawford. The title page is marked, “The Broncho Book / Being Buck-Jumps in Verse by Captain Jack Crawford / Roped for relief of the author, the divertissement of tenderfeet, and the joy of all those who love God’s Great Out-of-Doors / Our Brand / Corralled into a volume by The Roycrofters at their Book Ranch, which is in East Aurora, on Buffalo Creek – Nineteen Hundred and Eight”. Captain Jack Crawford was one of the finest Western Army scout during the Indian Wars who later enjoyed a career as “The Poet Scout”, playwright, short story author, and entertainer. He rose to international fame as one of the stars of the Buffalo Bull Wild West show as it traveled the world and was close friends with William Frederick “Buffalo Bill” Cody. The second book is "The History of the White Mountains, From the First Settlement of Upper Coos and Pequaket" by Lucy Crawford. The book details the History of the mountains and the adventures of Ethan Crawford. The books shows good condition overall for their age. The first piece measures 7" tall by 4 3/4" wide and the second measures 7 1/2" tall by 5 1/4" wide.
