Late 16th to mid 17th century Moorian helmet, blued steel, with brass rosettes, probably Saxon. The helmet remains in good to very good condition with some dents, dings, and normal aging with considerable original blue within a brownish patina. The helmet shows four rivets missing and plume holder also missing. The quality of forging and the helmet is nicely made and is of the type worn by military officers. Hugh Hayes Collection.
