Statue of a Shiva presented to actress Diane Shalet for her work in the 1976 film, The Last Tycoon. Ornate award stands approximately 8? tall with a Shiva head atop a black-painted plaster base. An engraved plaque is on the front and is engraved, “’The Last Tycoon’ Diane Shalet, Thank you from Elia Kazan—Robert DeNiro, January 1976.” Some chips and paint loss to base, and some light tarnishing to head and plaque, otherwise fine condition. Shalet played the role of Stahr's (DeNiro’s) secretary in the film. A giant figure of Shiva is used in the film where DeNiro first sees the girl during the studio flood.
