Collection of 4 envelopes, 14 government postcards, and 4 plain white specimen cards with duplicate postmarks (one in matching envelope), 1934-38, each bearing hand-stamped postmark, and cachet "Last Day Cancel / Effective...." A few signed by Postmaster, some with double hand-stamp on message side. Most with contemporary pencil notation on message side. Towns include: Holy Cross, Adobe, Flying H, De Vargas, Las Vegas (absorbed Mineral Hill Route), Contreras, Chiquita, Lockney, Crater, Eagle Nest, Chilili, Richland, Barton, Hill, Cherry Vale, and Clyde. A labor-of-love project of a prominent philatelist. Such a collection could never be assembled today. Small number of First Day of Service cancels possible.
