During the late 70's and early 80's, Lieber illustrated the Incredible Hulk comic strip, which was written by Stan Lee. Here are five Sunday strips; three from 1979 and two from 1980. From 03/04/79, comes a page of Bruce Banner transforming into the Hulk after falling in quicksand, from 03/11/79, Hulk encounters some townfolk, and from 03/25/79, Banner awakens from a bad dream, which features the Hulk. The strip from 10/12/80, shows the Hulk in action, fighting a tugboat and trashing a police car, and another moody strip from 11/02/80, shows the Hulk extracting justice upon a would-be killer. Each strip measures an overall 11" x 23" and has a 9.25" x 21.25" image area. The strips range in condition, but generally, the work is clean, with some slight wear and tear, particularly on the strip from 03/25/79, which has a slight yellow cast in the upper half of the art. <I>From the personal collection of Larry Lieber.</B></I> <B>Estimate: $500-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
