Larry Lieber - Original Art for Tales of Suspense #53, Complete 5-page Story, "The Omen" (Marvel, 1964). This is a great story with a wonderful message. Stan Lee and his brother, Larry Lieber, worked together on many of the science fiction backup stories for the early Marvel titles. These relatively short stories were actually mini-epics, with world-conquering villains who end up being humbled by seemingly insignificant or unrelated events. In this story, the mighty Lokar is a seemingly invincible conqueror on the verge of attacking another planet, who ends up leading a harmless band of galactic immigrants to that same planet when his is destroyed by a falling star. Each of these large pages is in excellent condition without any stats. The lettering by Sam Rosen is as crisp as the day that he did it and the inking by George Roussos (Geo. Bell) looks fantastic against the bright white pages. The approximate size of each page is 13.50" x 21". Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
