In "The Wrath of Rammer Rankin", Kid Colt rides into the town of Medicine Bend just as a prison break is underway nearby. The break is led by the steel-fisted Rankin, who drags along young Lance Larkin, who only wants to serve his time and go straight. When Colt performs a feat of heroism in town, Lance's beautiful big sister Lucy asks him for help. Whether it's because he's a good guy or just a sucker for a pretty face, the Kid does the job, making sure that Rankin and his gang get put behind bars again and letting Lance take the credit as hero. Ah, but if only Kid Colt could allow himself to dream about "settlin' down" with that "fine gal" Lucy. Margins contain some story notes in pencil, but these are incomplete because the pages have been cut down to just slightly more than the image area of 12.5" x 18.5". As with most early pages, this little darlin' contains a number of pasted up panels. Use of white-out is mostly confined to lettering changes. <I>From the personal collection of Larry Lieber.</B></I> <B>Estimate: $2,000-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
