Large fancy unmarked Bowie knife, approx. 17-3/4” overall with 12-1/2” clip point blade with sharpened false edge. Blade is 1/4” stock. The hilt is made from one piece fluted bone with minor age cracks. The German silver mounts are all engraved including the front, back, and sides of the crossguard, the ferrule and the pommel cap. The blade is in excellent condition overall with light aged patina. Mid to late 19th Century. Hugh Hayes Collection. Est: $600 - $1,200
