Large fancy Bowie knife by Arnachellum of Salem, India. Approx. 17-3/4” overall with 11-3/4” clip point blade with false edge. Blade is 1-3/4” wide. The large grip is one piece of grooved ivory, approx. 1-3/8” in diameter. Iron crossguard with silver-engraved ferrule and endcap. Beautiful aged patina to ivory hilt. Pommel cap has a few dents. The blade is overall very good condition, a nice edge, full tip, and a light patina overall. Dated 1860’s to 1870’s. Hugh Hayes Collection. Est: $900 - $1,800
