This is a circa 1880 antique cabinet card. Photographer H. Rocher. Imperial Portrait, Chicago - 724 Wabash Ave. We haven't been able to determine the identity of the subject, but Henry Rocher photographed many of Chicago's upper crust. SIZE: Approx. 7" x 9 3/4". Henry Rocher was the one Chicago-based portraitist who competed technically and aesthetically with the major New York camera artists in the 1860s and 1870s. He would enjoy undiminished success and professional respect until his death in 1887.

Most of it is in very good condition but it does have some scratches and nicks as well as a chunk missing from the top left corner.

If any dispute arises after the sale, our sales record is conclusive.

A 20% restocking fee also applies to merchandise rejected by the buyer due to reasons other than misrepresentation by All Things Estate Auctions. All sales are final. No lots are sold on approval. Placing a bid is a legally binding obligation. There are no returns or exchanges. By signing up to bid and by bidding, bidder agrees not to violate the payment provisions of these terms and conditions.
