Large brass ship’s clock by American Schaeffer & Budenberg, approx. 12-1/2” in diameter in overall good to very good condition with April 10, 1979 dated letter on Morgan’s Antiques letterhead (Shawnee,Oklahoma) stating “This round brass ship clock was used while they were building the Panama Canal! Then all of the pump & clocks were bought by Shell Pipe Line Co., and they were used in some of their stations. Whenthey closed the Station “Voshell” at Mound Ridge, Kans. The boss gave this clock to me. Leon S. Morgan”. Great piece of nautical ephemera and with some interesting history. Est.: $750-$1,500.
