Large Wine Bottle
This large wine bottle was found in Teel's Marsh in Nevada. Teel's Marsh was the location of the first borax works of Borax Smith. About 18 1/2" tall and about 39" in circumference. Bottle could be as early as 1860 when Borax Smith developed his first borax works. It was originally in the Adele Reed collection. Applied top is heavily chipped, but a large reminder of wine drinking in the old west!
