It's getting harder to find these beautiful big platters, and this one is in lovely condition!</em></td>

<tr>
<td width="100%">
Large heavy Staffordshire turkey or meat platter - it has the runnels and well for draining juices. The pretty border is roses and leaves. The pattern is called Teddersley, and the maker?s stamp is Pinder Bourne & Co (from Burslem in the Staffordshire Potteries). The impressed date stamp is for October, 1874.
Platter measures 49 cm by 39 cm ( 19.1/4 inches by 15.1/4 inches). Condition is excellent for age - no chips or cracks, just a few minor brown dots (these are where tiny bubbles in the glaze have been).
Platter weighs 3.85 kilos, so not a cheap one to post!
