Large size, Paleo Native American, Missouri Dalton Sloan arrowhead, projectile point. Chert material. 10,000-8,500 B.P. Early Holocene glacial period, Transitional Paleo cultural period, Dalton Culture. Large auriculate point, with an elliptical cross section. The blade is primarily excurvate and commonly serrated. The shoulders are absent with a stem that is slightly expanding. Slightly concave base. Basal grinding and flaking. 5 1/8" L X 1 3/4" W. In museum display case. An excellent example, focal point from a larger collection.
