Romblon Island, central Visayas, Philippines. Several of these were found in a burial jar and I acquired them directly from the old dealer Romblon Island, Panay Region, Visayas, Central Philippines. Acquired directly from the dealer who financed the excavations (circa 1995). About a half-dozen were found in a burial jar.....apparently burial "wealth", they may have had that status in life. At 1/2" thick and about 2", across, this was one of the nicest in the group. Were they cores from bracelet manufacture? Or made for money/status purposes?
