An amazing item -- a large piece of delicate kapton foil from the Apollo 11 Command Module <I>Columbia.</B></I> This foil played the critical role of reflecting the sun's intense heat away from the Apollo 11 command module as it re-entered earth's atmosphere. Due to its fragile nature most of it burned off the ship but small pieces survived and were salvaged. Just think, this actually flew to the moon and back as a part of the legendary Apollo 11 spacecraft.
