Large Philadelphia style percussion derringer possibly by Beerstecher but unsigned and single shot. The derringer measures 9” overall with 4-5/8” barrel of .44 caliber with six (6) groove rifling. The derringershows a plain un-checkered stock and non-engraved German silver mounts. The metal surfaces are in very good condition the light patina. The stocks are very good plus with a couple of mars in the forend and just normal aging. The action works well and the derringer is nicely made and closely resembles the two (2) shot that Beerstecher is known for. Est.: $1,400-$2,800
