Used as a base for Money Trees, with very high auction records. Artifact published in many important museum collections….the pottery has survived when the bronze trees have not. Warring States period, this one is 9" across from toes to toes...a nice large size. Broken and repaired through the middle. BUT - Double use: some were made so that the central hole could be "base" to a candle in the tomb....to "light the way" for the deceased's spirit. Great looking artifact.
