There is a painting on both sides of the canvas

2 Large original paintings on one canvas. The size is 30 1/2" x 44" . On one side, it a sweet painting of a lovely vintage black woman and her child. They are portaits sitting in what looks like an old Southern home. It is a very endearing, calm, soothing and pleasant scene. This is the side that I favor and am promoting and this painting actually on the back side of what the artist recenlty painted.
The canvas had been turn around so the painter could use the opposite side of the same canvas. On this side is a painting of a sitting, thinking very muscular man. It looks like what a art student would do as part of a study. Although it is very good too.
Both sides are in excellent condition. The wood frame is only to keep the canvas taut. The painting is not ready to hang as is. You will need to have it framed. Which side you end up displaying is up to you. The side with the woman & child will need to be untacked and turned around on the mounting frame. I did not wish to risk damaging it myself.

I picked this up at an estate sale many years ago. I found in the basement of an old craftman style home in Seattle. The family did not realize that this lovely protrait of woman and child was on the back side of sitting man that their grandpa painted years ago. They had already struck an agreement with me to sell it. So off I went with it. I certainty got a score with this deal.
