Large Native American Chief & Brave Resin Statues
In this lot is a pair of resin Native American chief and brave statues. The statues are made by Universal Statuary Corp, an American, Chicago-based statue manufacturer founded in the 1930s by brothers, Jack and Leo Lucchesi. The company produced piggy banks, plaques, and large store displays, including Indian statues for western theme restaurants that are widely collected today. The first statue is “Broken Arrow". This defiantly posed Chief stands tall at 30". The chief is in cream colored, fringed buckskin pants and shirt with a full headdress. His arms are folded and a "broken arrow" is at his feet. The second statue is of a warrior drawing an arrow from the quiver on his back. He is in a loincloth with a blanket/robe draped over the other arm. It stands 31" in height. These pieces of art are in great condition for their age.
