Set with a rich honey-colored oval-cut
citrine of approx. 38 cts, in an oval gold mount
textured with small granules within an intricate
enamelled frame, enhanced with lustrous
fresh water pearls averaging 3.5 mm, and a
cornucopia shell motif suspending a longer
tapering pearl pendant from an articulated
gold bar. The reverse fitted with a C-clasp, a
hinged pin attachment and hinged a
suspension ring for use as a pendant.<p>
Circa 1860<p>
1 1/2 x 2 in. (3.8 x 5.1 cm. (w x l) including
pearl
pendant. Depth of citrine is 11.2 mm; brooch
including gold mounts measures 5 8 in. (1.6
cm.) deep. <p>
