Large German Tropical Grouping with Five Heer Pith Helmets and Two Mosquito Nets

All pith helmets in this lot are German, built around a cork core with alloy "party eagle" and "national tricolor" shields on the left and right sides of the crown, respectively, leather edge trim and chinstrap, red felt crown interior and a ventilated brown leather sweatband. 1) Third pattern pith helmet, green felt exterior, olive green leather, and the sweatband marked "JHS" and "57-1942". 2) Second pattern pith helmet, brown cloth 6-panel crown and 2-panel visor, olive green leather, and an "ORL/1942" sweatband. 3) Second pattern, as 2, with "G.A.H./Helmfabrik", "WaA" and "56" stamps inside the band and a "G.A. HOFFMANN" mark on the internal vent. 4) Second pattern, as 2, with an unmarked band and "P.C. TURCK" marked vent. 5) Second pattern, as 2. 6) Two German mosquito nets, one green and one white, both without makers marks.

Pith helmets are good to very good overall, with mild stains and wear on the leather. #1 shows a few felt tears, #2 evidence of a shield being mounted on the front and then removed, and heavier wear on the band. The mosquito nets are both very good, with the white net showing mild staining.
