<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="4"><tr><td><em> Authentic Sevres, large, excellent condition</em></td></tr><tr> <td width="100%"> Elegant 23" tall cobalt blue Sevres urn/vase with hand-painted gold motifs of flowers--a simplified design that shows the influence of Japanese ceramics, very much in vogue in Europe after the first Japanese Art shows took place in London in 1854 and 1862. Mark inside top rim of vase shows an "S" and 1914 inside a triangle. A letter L appears on the base. In very good condition.

The provenance of this vase is interesting--it belongs to the descendants of Arturo Prat, the Chilean Naval hero and martyr of the War of the Pacific. It was originally purchased by the hero's son. Please ask questions, request additional photos and shipping costs prior to bidding.
