Largest of a series of bells of this distinctive style, it is extremely scarce and the Emperor (sic) of its money type. Many smaller examples of this style have been found together in jars, indicating they were placed there to offer financial aid in the afterlife. A form of oversize "bullion money", comparibles are known among the cowrie money where Kings commissioned larger than normal examples so they would retain their status in the afterlife....and could buy whatever they needed with them. Unknown location but the strangely-shaped holes are completely characteristic of this form of money-bronze. 4-1/4" tall and also heavy for the type, it is in excellent condition.
