Large Bowie knife by William Rodgers, Sheffield England. Approx. 13-1/2” with 8-1/4” clip point false edge. 1/4” stock. The blade is unsharpened original polish and etched on the blade flat “I cut [trademark] my way / William Rodgers.” The hilt is an early heavy coffin-shape with cast German silver bolsters and German silver pommel cap. Very thick 1/4" horn scales with six German silver pins and double escutcheon plates. Custom handmade beaded sheath with buck-stitched lacing in tassel and buck-stitched belt loop, signed on the obverse “C. Fabour ‘79”. Circa 1960’s – 1970’s. Hugh Hayes Collection. Est: $300 - $600
