<B>Large 38 Star U.S. Flag Circa 1877-1890.</B></I> A 12' x 6' flag with 38 muslin stars hand sewn to the canton in a concentric design. The canton and stripes are made of cotton and are treadle sewn. The flag is faded and bears the scars of many hours atop a flagpole. There are numerous splits, tears and some loss to the corners at the canton and on the fly end. In addition the flag is uniformly toned with age. The 38th star represented the addition of Colorado as a state.
