This was the only bank chartered in this small Darlington County community, and issued for only eleven years until the receiver arrived to shut its doors forever in 1928. There are a few small and one slightly larger rust holes, but the overall appearance is rather pleasing, with the note easily grading <B>Very Good-Fine.</B></I> Any estimate on a note of this significance is merely a guess in a market which treasures rarity above all else, but our experience with notes of this caliber suggests that five figures will likely be just a starting point for a South Carolina note of this importance.
