This lot features a wonderful late 19th Century Lakota Sioux Native American Indian Skullcracker (Skull Cracker) ceremonial war club from South Dakota. The piece shows a large, heavy example with a heavy stone ground head measuring 7.5 inches in length. The wood haft is wrapped in old hide and is adorned with mid-section wrap of glass trade seed beads in a crazy pattern along with a fringed drop at the bottom. This would have a very foreboding weapon on the High Plains and has a wonderful appearance. The piece measures 24 inches overall. From the Ex. Collections of Ted & Lilly Jarvis of Wyoming.
