This is a rare set of beaded cuffs from the Lakota Sioux Native American Indians. The set is from circa 1890 and shows good condition. These are sinew sewn 19th century glass trade seed beads (greasy yellow, chalk white, Hudson Bay red white hearts, navy, and more) in a geometric design. These would have been worn on the wrist or ankles and shows good condition. Each is 9.5" long around and 4.25" wide. Has original Museum Tags. This was purchased from the King Saddlery Museum in Sheridan, Wyoming where the Ernst Family had the collection displayed.. The pieces were original collected and sold by Otto F. Ernst in the 19th century. Otto Ernst was a renowned Saddle Maker and would purchase Native American items to sell in his Saddle shop and Catalog. Otto Ernst Saddlery Sheridan, Wyoming.
