This note owes its survival to the family of this bank's cashier, W.J.M. Jones, who saved this note along with another from a bank where Mr. Jones served as Vice President, which can be found in this sale's Texas offering. This piece is an evenly circulated and problem free Fine example, with excellent color for the grade. With the Irish specimen in a prominent New Mexico assemblage and the Latimer example now ensconced in a major long term holding, tonight's offering of this specimen may offer the last opportunity for many years for collectors to obtain any Lake Arthur note.
