Actor (1913–1944) best remembered for the titular role in The Lodger. He died from a heart attack at age 31. Vest made for Laird Cregar for an unidentified film. Based upon the style and period of the garment, it is possibly production made the 1942 film The Black Swan. Very long green vest bears a single row of ornate buttons and a strap and buckle in the back, missing one half of the buckle. Inside of the lining bears a Western Costume Company tag, with Cregar’s name written on the second line, as well as his chest size, an impressive 52.5.? Lining also bears a Western stamp as well. In fine condition. Cregar only did 16 films and died young, at the age of 31.
