In this letter to collector Robert McNiel, Lady Astor (1879-1964), the first woman to be elected to the British Parliament, explains Winston Churchill's refusal to send him an autograph. Signed "<I>Nancy Astor</B></I>" in black ink. Very fine with original center fold.
