<td width="100%">
Sepia portrait of Lady Hamilton after the engraving by Raphael Morghen made by La Platinogravure Montrouge. Platinogravure is a photographic technique, an impression method by contact. A negative is placed in direct contact with the sensitized paper. The particles are in the fibers of the paper (instead of on the surface) thus the result resembles more an engraving than a photograph. This is a rare procedure appreciated for its aesthetic qualities and its chemical stability. In good used condition with some wear to paper borders as shown which can be concealed by a mat when framing. Please ask questions, request additional photos and shipping costs before buying.
