A personal note to C.R. Smith (founder of American Airlines) from Lady Bird (b1912-d2007) while she was vacationing in Acapulco, Mexico with her daughter Luci and son-in-law, Liz Carpenter (executive assistant) and “six or eight of my hard working ‘Wildflower friends.’” The note is written on wildflower stationery and signed with just Lady Bird, indicating a close friendship. Appended to the end of the note are two brief notes from her companions—one from Liz Carpenter and the other from Margaret McDermott. Perfect condition. From the American Industrialist Collection.
