Ladies They Talk About (Warner Brothers, 1933). O
Ladies They Talk About (Warner Brothers, 1933). One Sheet (27" X 41").This little production fit right in with the rest of Warner Brothers' tough-talkin' prison melodramas made in the early Depression. Barbara Stanwyck plays a bank robber sent to prison by a radio crusader who turns her in. While there, Stanwyck fits into the prison population nicely -- until she has plans for the big breakout! Shotguns, car chases, women in prison, pre-code dialogue and situations make this one of the unheralded classics of the gangster genre! But the real star of this film was the gorgeous poster with artwork by Alberto Vargas, complimented by the striking Art Deco typeface. This combination makes for a knockout poster. The item has been linen backed with just the most minimal fold line touchup. The poster is in spectacular condition. Very Fine+ on Linen.
