LOUIS C TIFFANY (1848-1933) American painter and stained-glass artist; developed original process of making peculiarly beautiful opalescent glass called "favrile"; a leader in the Art Nouveau movement. He was the son of Charles L Tiffany (1812-1902), who established Tiffany & Co (1853). Interesting photograph of one of his lamp shades, brown tones, image size 7 1/2"X10." Signed in pencil on the mount. His name is stamped on the opposite side of the mount. Some soiling and chipping to mount, o/w VG. $1,000-1,500
