LOT OF POLTICAL AND PATRIOTIC CANES. First is hard to find bronze head of Cleveland with "St. Louis" embossed on front at base and "1888" in rear. This is the stick that makes Cleveland look like a walrus! From the convention. Overall 33", with original shaft and brass ferrule. PLUS W.J. Bryan example with the candidate's head in molded spelter, with "Free Coinage" and "16 to 1" in ribbon on base. Overall length 38"; missing ferrule, probably newer shaft. PLUS A cast white metal bust of Christopher Columbus, 3.5" high knob with "1893 Columbus Chicago/Souvenir/Pat. Dec. 20-92". Knob has had face slightly flattened and has 80% of original finish, mounted on a tapered oak shaft with 1.5" horn ferrule and a 1.6" brown leather band with woven top and bottom 2.25" below knob on shaft, total length 36.75". AND a nice cane with cast white metal knob, 2.75" high with 3 links of chain with the letters "F", "L" and "I" in each. Mounted on a tapered hardwood shaft with very worn and alligatored original finish, and .75" tin ferrule, total length 35.25".
